Cx Associates is excited to announce the addition of Senior Engineer Mike LaCrosse to our team of engineers, thereby kicking off our offering of a new service: building envelope commissioning (BECx).
Mike comes to Cx Associates with nearly 10 years of experience in commissioning and testing high-performance building envelopes both in new construction and renovation projects. Mike has managed the envelope commissioning efforts of dozens of buildings, ranging as small as 7,500 SF to over 150,000 SF and in all project phases, from design through occupancy. Of these, Mike has managed nearly a dozen which have targeted and achieved Passive House-equivalent levels of air tightness, or better.
Mike also brings experience in residential and commercial building envelope assessments, water leakage forensics/diagnostics on existing buildings, and large-scale blower door testing.
In 2017, Mike taught a course in building science as an adjunct faculty member for Keene State College’s department of architecture and maintains his certification as a “Professional Building Analyst” through the Building Performance Institute (BPI). Mike is a strong believer that building envelope success is rooted heavily in project team collaboration and eagerness to understand the challenges and goals that are involved.
