Cx Associates is pleased to announce the recent addition of [Sophia Mazzone](https://www.cx-associates.com/sophia-mazzone) to our team as an Engineer. Sophia brings fresh perspectives and enthusiasm for sustainable building practices to our organization.![SM Preferred Headshot SQUARE SMALL](https://buildingenergy.cx-associates.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Staff%20Images/2024%20Headshots/SM%20Preferred%20Headshot%20SQUARE%20SMALL.jpg?width=263&height=263&name=SM%20Preferred%20Headshot%20SQUARE%20SMALL.jpg)Sophia holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont. During her studies, she gained valuable hands-on experience through a year-and-a-half internship at Cx Associates, working with our team from the summer after her sophomore year through the start of her senior year. This extended internship provided her with practical exposure to MEP systems and commissioning processes, making her transition to full-time engineer seamless.

At Cx Associates, Sophia will focus on MEP commissioning projects, where she is particularly excited to explore how building systems contribute to overall performance and sustainability. Her passion for creating cleaner, more energy-efficient built environments aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver innovative and environmentally responsible engineering solutions.

Sophia's combination of technical education, practical experience gained through her previous internship with us, and genuine enthusiasm for sustainable building practices makes her a valuable addition to our engineering team and further strengthens our ability to serve our clients with excellence.
