Cx Associates provided construction phase commissioning services for this new construction project in Burlington, VT, which features office space and 20 residential apartments. The project utilized high efficiency water source heat pumps to offset their heat/cooling rejection in the swing seasons, thereby minimizing the energy input from the central plant during those times. We identified approximately 100 issues during project construction; for example, we found that no automatic controls were installed on exterior lights and no emergency shutoff switches were installed for the gas-fired boilers.
